Sweet Potato Fries

These sweet potato fries were so easy to make and only took 5 minutes of prep time! They came out nice and crispy on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. Not only are they delicious, but they are healthy too! Win win! I bought brownish colored sweet potatoes which had a white inside, but if you want that reddish/orange look to your sweet potato fries, make sure you buy a sweet potato with a purple outside.

Ingredients for sweet potato fries:
2 sweet potatoes
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
2 tbsp oil (I used sunflower oil)

1. Preheat oven to 500*F.

2. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into small slivers then wash them again with cold water to remove the extra starch.

3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and pour a thin layer of oil on the aluminum. Place the potato wedges on baking sheet and sprinkle a little bit of salt and pepper on top. Bake them for about 20 minutes or until they turn brownish. Take them out and turn them over. Place them back in the oven and broil them until they turn a golden brown on the other side as well (helpful hint: watch them when they're broiling because they burn easily). I broiled my wedges for 2-3 minutes.

4. Enjoy these with ketchup, spicy sauce, or on their own!
